I choose to do the majority of my films on either 16mm or Super 8 film stock, but I also work with video (both regular and hi-def). There is a purity about film that (in my opinion) video just cannot achieve. I combine both “schools of thought” by filming “old school”, then pulling my films into the computer for editing “new school”. To me, it’s the best of both worlds.
